Therapy Services

Who I see: I work with adults and teens (14+) who are exploring their identity and working to figure out who they are, navigating complex trauma, experiencing life transitions that feel overwhelming or paralyzing, navigating the relationship with food and their body, perfectionists and people-pleasers, and those who are curious about the way their lived experiences impact who they are and how they engage with the world while constantly living through “unprecedented times”. I provide supportive and affirming care to queer, trans, and gender-expansive clients, as well as those struggling with disordered eating, chronic dieting, or shame around their body.

I work with folks who are going through all sorts of challenges, but here are a few concerns that I work with most frequently

  • Childhood trauma + familial dysfunction

  • Political stress and overwhelm

  • Perfectionism and burnout

  • Life transitions

  • Self-criticism, shame, or worthlessness

  • Creating and expressing boundaries

  • Disordered eating, chronic dieting, body image issues

  • Body acceptance, liberation, and experiences of fatphobia

  • Recovering from sexual assault or abuse

How I work: I firmly believe that you are the expert of your own experience. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all; I see you as a whole person that is deeply impacted by a variety of systems, from your immediate family, to larger socioeconomic and geopolitical environments. I utilize collaborative and integrative approaches to therapy, pulling from several modalities such as attachment-based therapy, expressive arts, somatic therapy, emotion-focused therapy, trauma-informed care, person-centered, and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), while employing an intersectional feminist and anti-oppressive systemic framework. I welcome clients of all sexualities, gender identities, races, ethnicities, and body sizes.

We might work well together if: you’re looking for someone direct but kind, laidback, and who will laugh along with you at some of the absurdities of life; you seek a genuine relationship with a therapist that cares deeply about the lives and experiences of my clients. You are always welcome to show up to therapy sessions as you are, that includes fidgeting, coloring, gossiping, snacks, and anything that can help you feel as comfortable as possible while we tackle the hard stuff. I strive to show up authentically as myself, and I hope that you can too!
